Your Safety Comes First

Heywood Spa Hotel is open and welcoming guests. The health and safety of guests and team members will remain our paramount concern in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The reasonable measures that have been put in place strongly relate to the initial guidelines provided by the Welsh Government. These have been designed to safeguard public health and safety and minimize the spread of Coronavirus so Heywood Spa Hotel will maintain these recommendations at this time.

We have outlined below some of these reasonable measures that Heywood Spa Hotel are taking to adjust our operations and ask that guests respect these during their time with us.

Please stay safe, we look forward to seeing you soon.

ABOUT YOUR STAY

TRACK & TRACE TO PROTECT

It is Heywood Spa Hotel's reasonable measures that all visitors are required to register their contact details with us before entering the hotel.

At the entrance to the hotel, you will also be encouraged to scan the NHS Covid-19 QR code on display via the App.

We appreciate your help in advance to keep everyone safe and we thank you for your cooperation.

FACE COVERINGS

In line with Welsh Government regulations, face coverings must be worn in all indoor public spaces within the hotel.

Face coverings may be removed when in our Heywood Bar & Grill or when using the Leisure facilities.

For guidance, here are key examples of when guests will need to wear a face covering:

· Upon arrival and check-in and when making your way to your room

· When using any corridors and stairways

· When making your way from your room to our Bar & Grill or Leisure facilities

· When sitting in a public area, and not eating or drinking

· When checking out and departing the hotel

Please be mindful that there are some circumstances and health exemptions where guests may not be required to wear a face covering, and that the reasons for this may not always be visible.

We thank you for your co-operation.

YOUR ACCOMMODATION

Hotel occupancy will be monitored in line with guidelines to facilitate social distancing across our properties.

To keep physical interaction between our guests and team members to a minimum, guests staying for multiple nights at our hotels will have their room serviced by housekeeping every three days. Should you require any housekeeping service between these visits, please do not hesitate to contact Reception who will be pleased to assist.

Guests may only attend their reservation if they are symptom-free of COVID-19, are not in self-isolation, and have not needed to self isolate from being overseas.

CHECK IN

Pre-arrival booking procedures will ensure that the physical check-in process on arrival will be as quick and seamless as possible.

All guests are required to confirm that they are in good health and absence of symptoms of Coronavirus, and that any recent international travel conforms with quarantine guidelines, as a condition of their visit.

Queues will be minimal and fast moving due to pre-arrival procedures. However, where small queues do form, there are clear physical distancing measures in place.

A Perspex screen has been added to the reception desk to protect staff and guests in locations where direct face to face interaction is unavoidable.

Our Receptionists will be required to take the guests temperature at entry points on check-in.

Luggage handling services are not currently available, except for disabled guests who require additional assistance.

Guests will be able to check out and pay any outstanding balance digitally using their mobile device.

Express contactless checkout with drop box at reception is available, all keys deposited in these boxes will be disinfected prior to reuse.

HEYWOOD BAR & GRILL

Visitors and guests must book in advance. If you arrive without a reservation, it is likely we will be unable to offer you a table.

Breakfast: There is no need to pre-book this but you will be asked to choose a time on arrival.

SPA AND LEISURE FACILITIES

The swimming pool and leisure facilities are open but our Sauna is not operational at this time.

.

To ensure reduced capacities are maintained to allow social distancing, residents will need to book a 45-minute time slot to use the swimming pool and leisure facilities. Guests should vacate the pool at quarter to the hour to ensure the area can be checked prior to the next session starting.

Guests are required to shower prior to entering the pool and get ready in their robes and slippers in before going down to use the facilities. Time in and out must be recorded at Reception where towels will be provided.

SPA & SALON

Both our Spa and Salon is open, offering a selection of treatments. We have made several changes to our spa experiences to increase the safety of our guests.

To book a spa treatment, please contact our Reservations team on 01834 842087 who will be pleased to assist and offer further advice.

SOCIAL DISTANCING

All guests will be advised on the need to practice social distancing from our team members throughout their stay. There will be visual reminders of this requirement in all appropriate places.

Where possible, we will implement one-way systems, with public areas clearly marked to indicate direction of travel and safe distancing guidelines.

ROBUST CLEANING AND SANITISING PROTOCOLS

Cleanliness and hygiene have always been a priority for us. Cleaning protocols in bedrooms and all public areas will be strengthened to focus on High Impact Touchpoint (HIT) cleaning as a result of the COVID 19 pandemic in line with government guidance.

Stayover cleans for multiple nights’ occupancy are offered on a request basis only and guests must vacate the room whilst it is cleaned.

ADVANCED STAFF TRAINING

Advanced staff training in health and safety protocols, including the provision of personal protective equipment and wearing of face masks for staff in public areas.

As a condition of returning to work, team members complete lateral flow tests twice weekly and have completed an e-learning course on the Covid Awareness and the prevention in the workplace.

Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment including face masks and disposable gloves will be worn by team members based on their roles and responsibilities, and in adherence to Government regulations and guidance.

All team members will undergo training on the new health and safety procedures and the implications of COVID 19, with constant refresher training courses to reinforce the message. Team members will practice social distancing between themselves as well as guests.
